I emailed Animal Diversity Web to confirm if we indeed could use this text in our article. This was their response.

Dear BrokenSegue, There is no authorization to re-upload materials from ADW to Wikipedia. Any use of materials is subject to copyright laws. Hello, When a student gives us permission to publish their written work on the Animal Diversity web, they sign a copyright release form - assigning their copyright to the University of Michigan. What is their range? Are you including the East African oryx as the "northern" variant?

Mention the New Mexico introduced population as well.
