Gemona del Friuli (Friulian: Glemone, Slovene: Humin) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 90 km northwest of Trieste and about 25 km northwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 11,140 and an area of 56.2 km².[1]
The municipality of Gemona del Friuli contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Campagnola, Campolessi, Maniaglia, Ospedaletto, Godo, Centro Storico, Stalis, Taviele, and Taboga.
Gemona del Friuli borders the following municipalities: Artegna, Bordano, Buja, Lusevera, Montenars, Osoppo, Trasaghis, Venzone.

The village is medieval but was destroyed in the 1976 by a violent earthquake that destroyed much of the comune. Restoration began the same year.
