Gemma Sanderson

Gemma Sanderson (born 1983) is an Australian fashion model who rose to modeling when she became the queen of the annual Australian model search reality TV series Australia's Next Top Model in 2005.

Gemma Sanderson was criticised during the final few weeks of the show in regards to her suffering of depression, which she admitted to during episode 5. Sanderson won a number of challenges and did quite well each week, showing early favouritism from judge Marguerite Kramer (former Harper's Bazaar US editor).

Sanderson won the show and went on to become a successful model both in Australia and Internationally, having been represented by Next Models in New York, Chic Models in Australia, Beatrice Model agency in Milan, Promod Models in Hamburg, Ice Models in South Africa and 62 Models in New Zealand.

Prior to winning Australia's Next Top Model, Cycle 1 she was a finalist in Dolly Magazine's annual model search, which fellow Australian model Miranda Kerr had won the previous year.

Internationally she has shot for Macy's, Elle clothing Korea, Tchibo, Auchan, Covet, Chrishabana and Ilana Moses.

In Australia and New Zealand, her advertising and fashion campaigns include, Jeans West, Dotti, David Jones Limited, Myer, Bra's and Things, Marcs Baby Doll, Sachi, Ezibuy, Aztec Rose, Sussans, Ladakh, Sandler, Valley Girl, Surfoplane,

She has appeared in most Australian magazines, including, but not limited to Madison, Dolly Magazine, Yen, Frankie magazine, And Men, Shop Til You Drop, Cleo Magazine, Marie Claire, Stab, Monster CHildren, Woman's Day, Notebook, FHM and FHM COllections.

Internationally she has appeared on the cover of Escape Mangazine Hong Kong and Silhouette Italy, as well as appearing in Italian magazines Elle, Gioia, Maxim (magazine), Jack Magazine, Tu and also Grazia UK.

Gemma has also appeared in many Australian Fashion Weeks, for leading Australian and New Zealand designers including Lisa Ho, Alannah Hill, Trelise Cooper, Azzolini, Zambesi, Nicola Finetti, Tina Kalivas, Alice McCall, Third Millennium, Marcs Baby Doll, Vicious Threads, Tim O'connor, David Jones Limited, Myer, Oroton.[1][2][3]
