"Gemini Dream" is a 1981 single by the progressive rock band The Moody Blues. It reached #12 in the U.S. charts. It was written jointly by the band's lead guitarist Justin Hayward and bassist John Lodge, both of whom won an ASCAP songwriting award for it. In addition to being released as a single with "Painted Smile" on the B-side, it was also released on the Moody Blues' 1981 album Long Distance Voyager. "Gemini Dream" was the first of three singles released from the album, followed by "The Voice" and "Talking Out of Turn."
"Gemini Dream" was also the first Moody Blues single released after Mike Pinder's departure from the band. After Pinder's departure, the Moody Blues recruited Patrick Moraz, the former keyboardist for the progressive rock band Yes, to replace him.
