GemRB (Game engine made (with) (pre)Rendered Background) is a free software game engine recreation of the Infinity Engine, an engine used in several computer role-playing games.
The engine is not complete yet, thus those games are not fully playable. However, most of the original IE features are already implemented and some additional tidbits added to ease modding and the eventual creation of a Free RPG.
Using SDL and several other free and platform independant libraries GemRB also runs on devices like Nokia N800.
