My first real contribution to Wikipedia was on Talk:September 11, 2001 attacks, where I promoted a Neutral Point of View (NPOV) in the September 11, 2001 attacks-article. Knowing what I know, I jumped in with the preconceptions that many of the editors would have their paychecks from the US Goverment, assigned to supress Alternativ Points of View (APOV) in the artickel. I had to back of a little to see that this was maybe not the case. It was just wikipedians who belived in their Point of View (POV) and defended it from attack. I learned that expressions like: "The informations and links you are providing have no basis in facts and are just crap" could mean: "This is information that I, at the moment, can't relate to or emosjonally digest with it's implications". And this should be 100% respected. I also learned that Wikipedia is not "The Ethernal Truth made into words", but reflects the belifes of the editors and our sosiety as a hole -and should never be or be treated as anything else. It is however Wikipedias strenght to allow a diversity of viewpoints, and to aim to achieve NPOV. Geir 06:32, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
