[edit] TEAC
Hello. I noticed that you have TEAC (tetramethylammonium chloride) on your to-do list. However, I just moved TEAC, the audio equipment manufacturer, from its misnamed place at "Teac" to the "TEAC" name space. If tetramethylammonium chloride is best listed as TEAC also, please let me know. We could do a disambiguation of TEAC, but at the moment I am leaning towards avoiding a disambiguation page, but rather point readers to a "tetramethylammonium chloride" article from the TEAC article. --Charles Gaudette 09:32, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ischemic stroke
Thanks for your contribution to Stroke, any chance of a reference for what you added though? If not, no worries, i'll just place a citation needed tag near it :) Regards, CycloneNimrodTalk? 15:59, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- Also good to see you're a medical student in Nottingham. I want to study medicine and I live here too ;) Regards, CycloneNimrodTalk? 16:02, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Alice in Wonderland syndrome
I'll happily add a mention if you have any sources I can cite with? If not, no worries and i'll have a look around on PubMed and other places myself. Regards, CycloneNimrodTalk? 19:47, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- No worries. Unfortunately, we can't just place things on Wikipedia out of what we 'hear', otherwise our job here would be far too easy! I managed to find an article on PubMed anyway and i've added it to the Signs and symptoms section. It's only a brief mention but have a look and see what you think. Thanks. Regards, CycloneNimrodTalk? 19:58, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- I apologise for the wrong wording of the edit. I'll change it in a moment. However, that article certainly does mention Lilliputian hallucinations, take a quick look at the brief: "The present paper describes a patient who exhibited 'Alice in Wonderland' (AIW) syndrome as well as Lilliputian hallucinations." The article then describes a patient with AIWS who also displays lilliputian hallucinations. Regards, CycloneNimrodTalk? 20:25, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Ah. That would be my fault, my normal referencing tool is down so I copied and pasted a citation from the page Stroke. I must have forgotten to replace the link. Thanks. Regards, CycloneNimrodTalk? 20:30, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hell, you're the medical student ;) This is the problem with laypersons on Wikipedia and it's why we always need professionals as well as people just blindly referencing things (people like myself!). Thanks for your help and good luck with your future placements, I hope they're as productive for WP as this one was ;) Regards, CycloneNimrodTalk? 20:47, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hi!
Hey, thanks for the edit to subcutaneous emphysema! I see from the above that you're a medical student. *Grins deviously* Excellent, it's great to have folks around with medical knowledge! I'm a layperson myself, did you see any errors or anything in the article? I wonder if you happen to know the answer to this question: is air in the tissues from infections like gas gangrene subcutaneous emphysema proper, or does it count as something else? The sources I've found have been very ambiguous about the matter. Also, for another article I'm working on (pulmonary contusion), do you happen to know what the difference is (if any) between pulmonary toilet and pulmonary hygiene? Heh, I'll quit bugging you, I know med students are busy. Thanks again for the addition, and for your other work around the project! delldot talk 12:37, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks for the reply, I replied on my talk to keep the thread together. :) delldot on a public computer talk 00:08, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Library access
Hi Ged, a few of us are working on subarachnoid haemorrhage and we're currently looking for access to this review article I was wondering if the Nottingham medical library had access to this journal? If you could try, that'd be fantastic. If not, no worries! Thanks :) Regards, CycloneNimrodTalk? 15:52, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
