Gecis or GE Capital International Services is the name on the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company of GE. It is the pioneer of BPO in India and the largest BPO company in India. Headquartered in Gurgaon in India, it has offices in China, Romania, Hungary, Mexico, UK and USA.
It was headed by Pramod Bhasin. Raman Roy was the first Operational head of the organisation.
In the winter of 2004, GE sold off their 60% stake in the company to two equity companies, Oak Hill Capital Partners and General Atlantic Partners.
Since then the company has changed its name to Genpact.
Currently it employs more than 16,000 people in various locations. Pramod Bhasin is the President and CEO of Genpact. Today GE is a client to Genpact where it extends many services like customer services, Finance and Accounting and also Analytics.
