The Immortals is the fourth installment in the Grey Griffins book series written by J.S. Lewis and Derek Benz in collaboration. The Immortals takes place after Lord Sumner stabs the World Tree and recieves unlimited power and after the Spear of Ragnorak is stolen by Athena and The Order of the Dragon.
The Grey Griffins find a cursed of Round Table cards, with the owner no where to be found. The contents of the deck make for the ultimate deck making victory virtually easy for any player. Later, Griffins find out the deck was owned by Otto Von Strife. The cards of the deck come to life just like the characters in the Codex but these come to life on their own. Now that the cards are free, so is Von Strife who comes back for one reason and one reason only, to summon a group of nine powerful beings by the name of the Immortals. Now the Griffins must stop Strife before he resurrects the evil being and destroys the earth.[1][2][3][4][5]
