GE C41-8W (Dash 8-41CW), UP 9481
The General Electric C41-8W (also known as the Dash 8-41W) is a diesel-electric locomotive with a 16-cylinder, 4,135 hp engine. 154 were produced between 1993 and 1994 for both the Union Pacific and Santa Fe (ATSF) railroads. The engine has a fuel capacity of 5,000 gallons and a maximum speed of 70mph with a gear ratio of 83:20. Wheel arrangement is of a C-C type.[1]
