[edit] History
Previous name of this stop is Gdańsk Lotnisko (en. Airport) from once existing nearby airport. After liquidating the airport a big living quarter was build on this place, so the purpose of this stop changed from transporting passengers into main connection with other parts of the Tricity for the quarter habitansts.
The stop played significant role during the Pope John Paul II pilrimage to Gdańsk in 1987. The pope celebrated mass in Zaspa quarter, nearby the stop, so most of almost a million of citizens reached the spot via SKM service.
[edit] General information
Access to platform is made either through the road bridge from Grunwaldzka or Jana Pawła II streets, or via unguarded track crossing (the only and last one on SKM line) from Hynka street.
Presently no ticket office is available at this stop.
The name is derived from Zaspa quarter of the city (German:Saspe)
