Gdańsk Główny is an SKM stop in Gdańsk, Poland, located in the centre of the city, on Podwale Grodzkie street. It is the first stop of this urban train line. This stop is merged with the railway station Gdańsk Główny.
This stop used to be a common one for the Gdańsk-Wejherowo and Gdańsk-Nowy Port lines until June 2005, when the latter had been closed.
In general, SKM trains end their run in Gdańsk Główny, except for trains bound for Tczew (until December 2006 also Elbląg, Iława). Three of the tracks are blind ones, and as SKM uses electric multiple units, the machinists and train team just move to the other end of the train upon reaching Gdańsk Główny, and the EMU can then start the voyage in the opposite direction.
A ticket office is located in an underground passage, open weekdays from 6 am till 10 pm, and during weekends from 6 am till 9 pm. During the summer holidays the ticket office is open the whole day. The platforms are partially shielded from the elements by roofs set on pillars, and access to the SKM platforms can be made either via tunnel or straight from the station building (other platforms are accessed only via tunnel). The stop is well communicated with bus transport, both municipal and long distance. The main tram stops are also located nearby.
