Gazeta Express, is a Kosovo newspaper published in Priština by MediaWorks, a new media company founded in 2005 by a group of senior editors and journalists.
The newspaper looks like a tabloid, with red logo and a lot of colours in the frontage, but despite that the newspaper has a lot of serious articles and editorials.
Express daily newspaper is the first product of MediaWorks Kosovo, a new media company founded last year by a group of Kosovo's senior editors and journalists, with the financial backing of private investor IPKO. In its first year of existence, daily Express, the MediaWorks flagship product, has rapidly entered into public discourse in Kosovo, providing relevant and well-researched articles and authoritative opinion pieces
Professionalism of Express was noted abroad as well - during the first year of publishing global media brands such as NY Times, Time magazine, The Economist, Associated Press, etc have all referred to daily Express pieces and photos in their coverage of events in Kosovo
According to the MediaWorks's mission statement, editorial staff behind the new daily intends to produce a morning newspaper, which will provide relevant and qualitative content to the readers, at the same time aspiring to establish a new set of standards in professionalism in the journalistic work.
Editor-in-chief, Mr. Berat Buzhala, is considered to be among foremost economics post-war journalists, and leading kosovar investigating journalist, with impressive background as editor in Zeri, Koha Ditore, and Lajm. Editorials and opinion pieces are edited by Kosovo's leading publicist Shkelzen Maliqi. Photo-desk is composed by experienced photo reporters, whose work is honored through diverse international prizes for media photography. Designers are just one more element, notable by their consecration and creativity, which makes the layout of Express to be distinctly different from all other kosovar daily newspapers.
