Gayatri Devi Vasudev, Editor of The Astrological Magazine of India, is the daughter of Dr. Bangalore Venkata Raman, who edited the Astrological Magazine since 1936. Gayatri Devi Vasudev assumed the position of Editor since Dr. B.V. Raman's demise in December 1998, and she continued his work until Jan 2008 when the ill-health of her mother forced the temporary closure of the magazine[1] [2] [3].

She is well known for her predictive ability using Jyotish or Sidereal astrology, such as her advance prediction of the 9-11 disaster which was published in the January 2001 issue of the Astrological Magazine[4]. She has a long list of accurate predictions, including the murder of Indira Gandhi, death of Jordan's King Hussain, and re-election of Bill Clinton[5].
