Gay's the Word (bookshop)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gay's the Word is the longest running gay bookshop in the UK, founded in 1979. It is located in Bloomsbury, Central London.

A number of celebrity customers supported a campaign to keep it open in 2007.[1][2]

It was prosecuted under the Obscene Publications Acts in 1984 as part of Operation Tiger, though charges were eventually dropped.[3][4]
