Gawade is a Marathi surname, common in the state of Maharashtra in India.
Gawade is one of the surnames of the 96 kuli marathas.This surname is also in Brahmins with category DESHASTHA RUGVEDI.They are natives of the Konkan region of Maharashtra but descendants of the dhar pawar dynasty of the Dhar district of western Madhya Pradesh.
