[edit] Place de la Bastille
I fixed the page and it looks great again now. If you go into the history and click on the previous date, it will show you what was there. SuzanneKn 21:29, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Smirnenski - Brothers of Gavroche
Hi! I'd be glad to help, but I don't think I'm good at translating poetry. I don't think it's been translated either, what's left released in the public domain. It's a relatively well-known poem, though — I remembered having studied it in my literature classes at school. Todor→Bozhinov 17:06, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Saints tag on Victor Hugo
Basically, the Saints banner was removed because the Saints WikiProject, of which I am a member, doesn't really have the expertise in dealing with non-Christian religions that would probably be required to really add anything of substance to the article, and probably will wind up having well over 5000 Christian saints articles anyway, which will probably be enough for the relatively few active members of the project to deal with. I note that it was only added by another member of the project without any real consultation in advance with the project itself. I have recently found that there is enough support for a religious figures work group of the WikiProject Biography, and am hoping that group soon gets the banner adjusted for use of the new work group. That group will probably be better able to deal with non-Christian biographies. If, of course, you would like to see the Saints project expand to include saints of other religions, the project has always been open to the idea, but it has never really been discussed enough for a conclusion to be reached. I am in the process of setting up the project's Articles page, and saw that those articles had been tagged. Reviewing the history, it seemed to me like at least reverting that member's unilateral action would probably be the right thing to do. That member is now inactive, so far as I can tell, so he couldn't be contacted directly regarding this. John Carter 20:10, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Newsletter n°1
Bonjour and welcome to the first WikiProject France newsletter!! It should become a monthly special of our project, but until the next issue, here are some points to consider for the month:
- In an effort to determine the active members from the inactive, all members are asked to simply sign on my special userpage.
- I have slightly rearranged and updated the Project page, putting all the featured lists in collapsible tables. This unclutteres the page and you only have to see them if you want to. Give your feelings at the talk page.
- I have made a Wikipedia advert for our project, Image:Qxz-ad108.gif, what do you think? Personally I feel the words need improving ...
- There are still map problems at Template:French commune - any help at resolving them would be greatly appreciated.
- What about starting a monthly drive? We currently have no Featured Portals (except for the Basque Portal which really isn't French any way), so how about improving Portal:France??? I don't know what's exactly wrong but the criteria can be seen at Wikipedia:Featured portal criteria.
It doesn't seem like a lot, so I hope we will still have enough problems for nexts months issue. Salut till the next issue, ChrisDHDR (17:16, 10 November 2007 (UTC)).
