[edit] Cubs
Don't be too quick to give me (a lifelong Cubs fan, FYI) too much credit (or blame) for the wording of that paragraph. You should see what it looked like before. However, I think your additional re-wording sufficiently conveys the point. d:) Wahkeenah 19:17, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Baseball on Wikicities
Hello Gavindow, Googie Man here and I want to ask you something as a fellow baseball (and Cubs) fan on Wikipedian. Jimbo and Angela have made a new webstie called Wikicities. This link in particular will take you to the baseball Wikicity. As you'll see it's similar to Wikipedia, but my hope is this will allow baseball fans to do more and different things, like reporting on games, in depth statistics, create mulitple pages for pictures, and whatever else baseball fans care to create. You've done great work on Wikipedia and I was hoping you could help get this baseball Wikicity off the ground. Please let me know what you think either at my talk page, or you can email me at terry@wikia.com. Thanks! Googie Man(Talk), 23:304, 4 January 2006 (UTC).
[edit] Babe Ruth
I'm posting this message on you Talk Page either because you've contributed to the article Babe Ruth, or because you've edited other baseball or sports related articles. I've recently completed a revision of this article at Babe Ruth/rewrite. If you have the time, I'd appreciated it if you'd compare the articles and leave any feedback you might have on the rewrite discussion page. I'd like to reach a consensus before makeing major changes to the main article. Thanks for your help. --djrobgordon 20:42, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Funny edit summary
I saw this edit summary by you: "Changed my cool box into a list because copyright lawyers are the parasitic scum of the earth". Very funny! It's all too true. I wish our world were free of such riff-raff, but unfortunately it isn't. :( --Durin 14:03, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Player statistics template
Hi there. I saw your comment on the talk page of WikiProject Baseball players about developing a player statistics template. I've been interested in the same myself, but I got dizzy trying to follow all of the various efforts towards such. I was wondering if you could inform me of any developed consensus in this area.
Also this is my first time joining a project. Is it OK for me to simply add my name to the list of participants on the main page or should I clear it with someone? I'm looking at starting my own project in another area and want to get a feel for how these tend to operate.
Thanks for any feedback you can provide, and good to meet you! Fractalchez 18:04, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Toddstroger.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Toddstroger.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Peraica changes
Here's my rationale for what I included: -The content about Stroger's controversial nomination is integral to the race. It’s Cook County, after all, where Democrats out number Republicans 3 to 1. The story surrounding Stroger is one of the primary reasons this race is as close as it is. Everything I added was sourced to one of the four major Chicago area newspapers (Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Daily Herald and Daily Southtown). - The Chicago Reader is hardly a newspaper of record. I kept the same content you had, but sourced it to one of the 4 major papers, the newspapers of record in Cook County. - The facts in the criticism section are sourced, but the accusations of “noeptism” and “cronyism” are not. Without sources, those shouldn’t be there. - The Pioneer Press – which serves all of north and northwest Cook County – and the Star Newspapers – which serves south and southwest Cook County – endorsements are pertinent because both groups, along with the Daily Southtown, are Sun-Times newsgroup publications. All have opted to break with the Sun-Times’ endorsement of Todd Stroger to print their own endorsements for Tony Peraica. Crain’s Chicago Business is the business paper of record for a large Chicagoland business community.
[edit] Nice work
Wow. Magic copy-edit at Palmes académiques! That article had suffered from Translator's Cramp since I did it (despite Storkk's best efforts). V v nice. Best, JackyR | Talk 14:19, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Withorwithoutyoucover.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Withorwithoutyoucover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Dream out loud (talk) 18:41, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

I have tagged Image:Still_havent_found_cover.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use.
