[edit] Mistake on the First Line

Gaussian and Gauss curvature are not the same thing. There is an idea of Gaussian curvature: which this article is about. There is also an idea of Gauss-Kroneker curvature TENSORS (see http://www.springerlink.com/content/j407l35440653537/ ).
