Gausganj is a census town in Kanpur Dehat district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

As of 2001 India census[1], Gausganj had a population of 7708. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Gausganj has an average literacy rate of 62%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 70%, and female literacy is 54%. In Gausganj, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
