Gateway State Trail
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Gateway State Trail is an 18.3 mile multiple use rail trail in Minnesota.
The trail starts at Cayuga Park near downtown St. Paul, and extends to the northeast along an abandoned Soo Line Railway corridor to Pine Point Park. An asphalt track runs the entire length of the developed corridor, and a segregated natural surface track parallels the asphalt track for 9.7 miles between I-694 and the trail's terminus at Cayuga Park. In winter, the segment of paved track along the natural surface track is groomed for cross country skiing.
