[edit] History

There's nothing at all about the history of the city, not even the Loray Mill Strike. The book Gastonia 1929 deals with this issue, but I have yet to read all the way through it. It would be great if someone who knew more about this than I do could add it to the article! -- hibou 17:25, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] NPOV

Much of this page sounds like it was written by the Gastonia CoC, e.g., "Gastonia has a wide variety of shopping venues geared to satisfy any shopper." That stuff should be cleaned out and the facts stuck with. Also, I agree with the above that the Loray mill strike should be mentioned, as well as the utter loss of the textile industry in the region.24.117.148.50 04:31, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Accuracy

I removed the part about being the home of Sundrop as it's completely incorrect. Many people in Gastonia believe that it is due to the presence of Choice Bottling Company (which is actually based in Lowell, NC now), but they are simply a major distributor of the beverage in the area now. The beverage itself is actually owned by Dr. Pepper/Seven-Up. Suamme1 19:26, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
