At the bottom of the hierarchy is the Goinfre (or Greedy-Guts) and at the top is the Gastronome.

The hierarchy is as follows:

  • Gastronome
  • Gourmet (A connoisseur of food and drink)
  • Friand (Epicure)
  • Gourmand (One who enjoys eating)
  • Goulu (Glutton)
  • Goinfre (Greedy-guts)
