Gaspard Le Roux

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gaspard Le Roux was a French harpsichordist active in Paris at the beginning of the 18th century and died about June 1707. He had been born around 1660. Little is known of the life of Gaspard Le Roux, only by one quotation in a list of professors considered in Paris, and a single collection of suites for one and two harpsichords appeared in 1705: it is one of the pinnacles of music for this instrument. His work falls under the French tradition between those of d'Anglebert and Couperin.
