Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) is a laboratory of the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO). Located in Bangalore, its primary function is research and development of aero gas-turbines for military aircraft. It is responsible for development of GTX-35VS Kaveri Engine intended to power production models of LCA Tejas.[1]
