Gary King (born May 10, 1988 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a web developer. He has made over 35,000 contributions to the English-language Wikipedia since October 15, 2004 under the username Gary King.[1]

King grew up in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

He first started working on web development projects professionally in 2003, when he worked on websites using vBulletin, an Internet forum software. On May 10, 2006, King began writing at King Gary, his personal weblog.[2] He spoke at the mesh conference on May 15, 2006, a conference about the World Wide Web, regarding the increasing importance of the role of youth and user-generated content on the web.[3] King was a PHP web developer at b5media in early 2007, a weblog networking company based in Toronto, Canada.[4] Around the same time, he also wrote weekly articles for Blog Herald, a weblog dedicated to covering news related to the blogosphere. His articles intended to help people customize WordPress, a weblog software, for their own use.[5] Later on in the year, he built several applications on the social networking website, Facebook, which amassed a total of more than a million users.[6]
