Talk:Gary Payton (astronaut)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'd suggest that this page should be changed to "Gary Payton (astronaut)". There's a far better-known Gary Payton, totally unrelated to the astronaut, who has been one of the NBA's top guards for better than a decade. The NBA's Gary Payton has spent most of his career with the Seattle SuperSonics, but now plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.
This is a situation that obviously calls for a disambiguation.
How about moving this to Gary E payton and setting up a disambig here? Theon
Gary Payton redirection page needs to be deleted in order to avoid moving Gary Payton (basketball) to Gary Payton, the disambig note is already in Gary Payton (basketball) page and obviously it will be moved. There will be no disambiguation. see here --necronudist 11:30, 17 November 2005 (UTC)
- I've moved Gary E. Payton to Gary Payton (astronaut) and Gary Payton (basketball) to Gary Payton per the request on Wikipedia:Requested moves. —Cleared as filed. 19:40, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Man this is bullshit!
I know it won't make any difference but I must register my outrage. This is bullshit. Some basketball player gets preference over an astronaut. This is shameful and should be reversed. I see the sequence of paper cuts above and I don't see anyone exhibiting pride or happiness. Fuck marketing and focus groups, if astronauts come second to basketball players then Bush has won. 83.70.244.59 07:09, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
