Talk:Gary Ballman
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gary Ballman was one of the greatest high school football players in the history of the state of Michigan. This six foot one inch running back weighted 205 and was one of the fastest runners in the state. As an 11th grader his team was rated number one in the state. Gary averaged almost 11 yards per carry from scrimage. He also returned punts and kickoffs and scored a touchdown on about a fourth of the times he touched the ball. Prior to his senior year he hurt a knee while practicing football getting ready for the season. He seemed to lose some of his blazing speed due to his knee problems. Still he went to Michigan State University on a football scholarship and was a starter there for three years. He played in the National Football League for about 12 years. Additionally, Gary was a "good guy."
