This reads like an assignment for class, and includes first person writing. blu_rav3 22:14, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Alumni

My gut reaction is to remove the alumni entry:

  • Eraj Akhtar - The Antichrist

However, if this person is actually in a band by that name or whatnot, please respond here letting me know. Otherwise, please do not readd him, as he is non-notable. --Danaman5 02:21, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

To the best of my knowledge he's still at school. They were all basically BS except for the first few. I'm currently unsure if any of the Power Rangers actors went to school there. I know some lived in the area, and my dad tells me that I apparently met the 2nd Black ranger when I was younger, but I don't know where they went to school.

[edit] More sources, more references, more accurate information.

We need to actually find evidence that these facts people claim are true. For example :

"Garland High School, which was founded in 1901 (the official date, although the actual date is disputed)"

Is there a source on that? There is a tone of uncertainty in that sentence. Also:

"although some evidence suggests that the school started in the late 1900s."

'altough some evidence'? What evidence? More references would be most helpful. Xminivann 6:50, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

As far as the age of the school, a friend and myself have been trying to determine some of the
construction history of the building. In the trophy case in the commons, there is a commemorative
plate with the different school buildings etched on it, but that would obviously be hard to cite.
I will be at the school for fish camp and I'll try to take a picture of the plate to document some
    of the information on it.

"...is the oldest of the district's high schools (and the best)..."

Is there any proof of it being the best? User:Saibird69 8:25, 26 January 2007

There is no definitive proof, but Garland has been ranked the highest by Newsweek as far as
public high schools in the nation go. Garland also has the most state championships and
    district championships in many sports.
