Though this image is subject to copyright, its use in the Shade's Children article is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

It is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality).
The photo is only being used for informational purposes.
It is an image of the book's cover, in an article discussing the book. It thereby adds to the article in question.
The image is not replaceable by any freely licensed image.
