Gary Zekley

Gary Zekley was a West Coast record producer and songwriter associated with 1960s, 1970s and 1980s bands and songs in the bubblegum, rock and roll, sunshine pop, and surf genres.[1]
Zekley sang, wrote or produced songs featured by bands such as Big Pig, Bonnie, Dick and Dee Dee, Grass Roots, Jan & Dean, Our Gang, The Ragamuffins, Ray Alder, The Clique, The Fun & Games, The Grass Roots, The Mamas and the Papas, The Matadors, and The Yellow Balloon. His songs have been covered by R.E.M., who covered " Superman", and Sweathog.[2]
