Gary Worthan is the Iowa State Representative from the 52nd District. He has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2007, when he won a special election to replace the deceased Mary Lou Freeman, who ran unopposed in the General Election.[1][2]
Worthan currently serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Agriculture committee; the Public Safety committee; the Transportation committee; and the Veterans Affairs committee. He also serves on the Administration and Regulation Appropriations Subcommittee.
Worthan was elected in a special election in 2006 with 2,003 votes, defeating Democratic opponent Kate Logan. [3]
