Gary Webster

Gary Webster (born 3 February 1964 in London, England) and a former English actor.

He was first noticed as an actor in EastEnders as Graham Clark in 1987. Before becoming best known for playing Ray Daley in the television series Minder, replacing Dennis Waterman as George Cole's on-screen sparring partner in the series. Webster joined the series in 1991 and remained until its conclusion in 1994. He didn`t appear in any soaps until a brief apperance in Hollyoaks as Dion in 2001 and in Crossroads as Richard Mason in the same year. He also had been a regular cast member on the soap opera Family Affairs as Gary Costello in 2003 until the soap was axed at the end of 2005. He has also played the role of tough gangster Paul Haskew on the popular ITV drama The Bill.

He is married to the television presenter Wendy Turner Webster, who hosted of Pet Rescue. The couple have two sons, Jack and Freddie Webster and currently live in Surrey.[1]

He was interviewed on BBC Breakfast on May 27 2008 about his forthcoming book. The book follows Webster’s debt problems, which begin in his first series of Minder which spiralled out of control and included repossession of his properties. [2]
