Gary LeVox (born Gary Wayne Vernon, Jr. on July 10, 1970 in Columbus, Ohio)[1] is the lead vocalist of American country trio Rascal Flatts. His stage name literally means “Gary the Voice.”[2] Jay DeMarcus is also a member of the group.
Gary's first musical performance was at the age of nine, in a play at his church. Gary graduated from Olentangy High School[3] and is an alumnus of the Ohio State University. Prompted by his cousin, LeVox moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1997.[4]
On May 15, 1999, LeVox married his wife, Tara, who is from Saraland, AL. They have two daughters, whose names are Brittany and Brooklyn.
