Gary LaRocque

Gary LaRocque is a former Minor League Baseball player and manager. A graduate of the University of Hartford, he was an All-American shortstop and was picked in the 14th round of the 1975 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. He played in the minor leagues for three seasons.
He was a manager in the Los Angeles Dodgers minor league system from 1981-1988, managing for the Lethbridge Dodgers (1981-1982), Gulf Coast Dodgers (1983), San Antonio Dodgers (1984-1987) and Bakersfield Dodgers (1988). He then went to the New York Mets system as scouting director from 1998-2003 and became the Mets Director of Player Development and Assistant General Manager/Vice President in 2004. In 2008 he signed on with the St. Louis Cardinals as Senior Special Assistant to the General Manager.
