Gary Michael Jeter (born January 24, 1955 in Weirton, West Virginia) was a former professional American football defensive end in the NFL. An All-American at the University of Southern California in 1975 & 1976, Jeter was selected by the New York Giants in the 1st round (5th overall) in the 1977 NFL Draft.

Jeter played in 13 NFL seasons from 1977 to 1989 for the New York Giants, Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots. During his pro career, he amassed 92 sacks.

Jeter is currently reside in North Royalton, Ohio a suburb of Cleveland. Jeter is now working for The Wackenhut Corporation in Parma, Ohio as a Manager of Business Development. His daughter Kayla Jeter is a standout Volleyball player, earning All-American honors and has an athletic scholarship to University of Tennessee
