Gary Elphick, born October 17, 1985 in Brighton, England is a defender currently playing for Conference South side Havant and Waterlooville. He played for Brighton & Hove Albion for two seasons, making just one start and one substitute appearance, before joining Conference side Aldershot Town on loan in January 2006. At the end of the 2005-2006 season, he was released by Brighton and was signed by newly-promoted St Albans to, unsuccessfully, help them survive in the Conference. He has played for the England National Game XI. At the end of the 2006-07 season he was named Player of the Year for St Albans. After much debate over the beginning of the summer, Elphick decided to stay at Clarence Park despite them being in the Blue Square Southern (previously Conference South). Since then Elphick has joined FA Cup giant killers Havant but was cup tied so was unable to take part in the cup run.
