Gary Croft (born February 17, 1974 in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, England) is an English football player, who currently plays for Lincoln City after signing a one-year contract for the 2007/08 season following successful trials at the club.
He is most famous nationwide for being the first footballer to play whilst wearing an electronic tag [1], when playing for Ipswich Town.
Gary made his under-21s debut against Brazil under-21s on 6 June 1995, David Beckham also made his debut in the same match. [2]
After being released by Grimsby Town at the end of the 2006/2007 season and after having a successful trail at Lincoln City he signed for them on the 27 July 2007.
Gary is currently a free agent after one season with Lincoln City.
