Gary Chevsky (born 11 September 1972 in Odessa, Ukraine) is the founding architect of Ask.com. He went to the United States in 1988 and settled in San Francisco, California.
From 1995 to 2006, Gary worked on question answering and information retrieval technologies at Ask Jeeves (now Ask.com).
He is currently a Vice President of Engineering in the Consumer Business Unit (famous for its Norton brand) at Symantec Corporation, developing the next generation of web security technologies.
Gary has two patents pending in the area of natural language processing and information retrieval (#20030069880 and #20070078842).
