Garrett Thomas Jones (born June 21, 1981 in Harvey, Illinois) is a first baseman in the Minnesota Twins organization of Major League Baseball. He is a 1999 graduate of Victor J. Andrew High School in Tinley Park, Illinois. He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 14th round of the 1999 amateur draft, but was released after three seasons in the Braves minor league system and signed with the Twins May 24, 2002.[1] He made his major league debut against Cleveland May 15, 2007, recording his first hit, a single off of Paul Byrd in the seventh inning.[2]
