Garra, the garras, are a genus of ray-finned fish in the family Cyprinidae. They are among the "log suckers", sucker-mouthed barbs commonly kept in aquaria to keep down algae. The doctor fish of Kangal (Turkey) also belongs into this genus.

More than 90 species of Garra are presently accepted. Some 2-4 new species are being described every year.[1]
