Garo H. Armen

Garo H. Armen is chairman and chief executive officer of Antigenics Inc., the biotechnology company he cofounded with Pramod Srivastava in 1994. From mid-2002 through 2004, he was chairman of the board of directors for the biopharmaceutical company Elan Corporation plc. Dr. Armen also serves on the board of directors of Color Kinetics Inc., a company that designs, markets and licenses intelligent solid-state lighting systems. Dr. Armen is also the founder and chairman of the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF), a charitable organization established in 2000 that is dedicated to the positive development of the children and youth of Armenia.
