Garidepalli is a town and mandal in Nalgonda district in Andhra Pradesh, India. Nearby villages include Ponugode, Kalmal cheruvu, Keethavarigudem, Gaddipalli and Bethavolu. This lies between Kodada and Miryalaguda which is on Vijayawada road from miryalaguda.

There are total 11 revenue villages in this mandal and total villages up to 30.

Ponugodu is the village which is the biggest in garidepalli mandalam. This village is known for its unity and diversity

The town has many temples. They are Shivalayam famous as THRILINGESWARALAYAM, Venugopalaswamy temple, Ramalayam, Mutyalamma Temple. Mutyalamma festival is held in the town annually. Every year people will celebrate the kalyanam of shiva before shivarathri and venugopalswamy kalyanam in April or may.

The village is near to Nagarjuna sagr left canal and that is why there is more paddy production.

Ponugode village has One Zilla Parishad High School, Three primary schools and one more private high school. The alumnae of these institutions have occupied coveted positions in the society. Once these institutions served both haves and have-nots equally. But now they are looking for HELP/AID for the existence in terms of infrastructure facilities such as cosy class rooms, furniture, laboratory facilities, text books for the library, reading room facilities, computers, internet facility, e-learning electronic devices, nutritious food provision etc or adoption of these Govt.

There is 18 hour bus facility for the village from Suryapet and Miryalaguda for every 30 mins.

The total population of the village is about 31,000 (2007) among which 55% are males.

Ramachandrapuram, Mallayyagudem, Mangalagudem, Bangarampadu are the sub villages within Ponugode.

The Village has strong political background.

The village has surrounded with three ponds which are the water source for paddy. 90% of the economy of the village is from rice and daily wages.
