Garhi Pukhta is a town and a nagar panchayat in Muzaffarnagar district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

As of 2001 India census[1], Garhi Pukhta had a population of 12,104. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Garhi Pukhta has an average literacy rate of 44%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 52%, and female literacy is 36%. In Garhi Pukhta, 21% of the population is under 6 years of age.
