Garfield Grove

Garfield Grove is a sequoia grove which is near the town of Three rivers in California. 2,330 acres of it lies in Sequoia National Park and 572 in the Giant Sequoia National Monument at the Sierra Nevada | range in eastern California' United States .
[edit] Noteworthy Trees
Some of the trees found in the grove that are worthy of special note are:
- King Arthur: This tree was first discovered in 1949 but only seen from far away, the hiker had told a ranger that he saw a huge tree. In 1978 Wendell Flint, Bob Walker and Gus Boik found the tree and named it King Arthur, this tree is the 9th largest giant sequoia. It's base up to about 50 feet rivals the General sherman for total mass. The picture to the right is from Wendells Book.
