[edit] Cast Members

[edit] Major Characters

  • Garfield (the main protagonist), an orange lazy cat who escapes the Cartoon World. Soon, he realizes this will only make chaos.
  • Odie (main protagonist) a yellow happy dog, who accidentally gets into the Real World. He enjoys having a bone in his mouth.
  • Jon Arbuckle is the owner of Garfield and Odie. He goes on a rescue mission at the mighty Fire-Hotel Scene in the movie.

[edit] New Major Characters

  • Arlene is Garfield's secret crush; she makes her first appearance in a Garfield animated product. Davis was more stringent in his permission to use the Arlene character and the producers of Garfield and Friends and earlier specials declined using her, replacing her with a stand-in named Penelope. With Davis writing the script for this special, Arlene was finally added.
  • Wally Stegman is the geeky inventor who's best known for making the Bonitanator, which teleports the Real and Cartoon World. He also is very clever.
  • Bonita Stegman is the big-honking nosed wife of Wally Stegman. She never smiles until Wally admits he did steal her cookies!
  • Eli is the Head Technician of Comic Studios who prints comics and prepares settings. He doesn't change the plot story. He apparently isn't bothered by Garfields laziness.
  • Billy Bear is the second most popular comic character. He is a friendly BIG STRONG Bear who enjoys fishing in Billy Bear Woods
  • Randy Rabbit is the partner of Billy Bear helping him do fishing, which he really hates. He also wears a green cap hat. He playfully teases Betty.

[edit] Secondary/Minor Characters

  • Charles is the art director and Comic Maker at Comic Studios.
  • Betty is the art editor at Comic Studios. Eli seems to get annoyed of her.
  • Shecky is the blue cat in the Real World. He doesn't believe Garfield and Odie are trying to go back to the Comic World until the end when he joins him when they return.
  • Sheila is Shecky's ex-girlfriend. She doesn't like to share her fish or food.
  • Waldo is Shecky's doggy friend. He's not smart, but really friendly.
  • Hot Dog Vendor Guy is the hot dog seller in the Real World. He hates Garfield and Shecky and throws hot dogs at them.
  • Ashley is a background character in the Real World who enjoys reading Billy Bear. She's a young girl. Jim Davis originally planned to give her a bigger part by having her get tied up in the hotel with Garfield, Odie, and Shecky but scrapped the idea.
  • Hale and Hardy are the main antagonists of the end of the film. They tangle up Garfield in order to replace his comic strip and place the hotel on fire. Hale and Hardy are a musclebound dog and cat who wear yellow leotards. Their owner is Mike.
  • Sid is the main Comic Newspaper President. He is usually harsh to people with unintelligent comic ideas.
  • Bobby and Eric are the other Comic Newspaper runners. They start a replacement contest to replace Garfield.
  • Dicky Dot is a fictional character made by a geeky teenager.
  • Seismee Twins are a man with a broom who looks like him too.
  • Flower Lady is the singing Flower-Bringing woman.
  • Monster Guy is the character made by a monster-movie lover.
  • Dagwood and Grimmy are the only ones who were made originally made cameos through the whole movie. The Dagwood Sandwich appeared too with Dagwood. However, they each don't have any dialogue. Grimmy drinks toilet water from the men's bathroom.
  • Zelda is the cafeteria lady at the studio. She is unpolished looking but is a disco queen. She hates it when Garfield insults her food. She sometimes puts on makeup or looks in a mirror often blushing.
  • Propboy is the high octane prop director. He does not like Odie because he stole the bone.
  • Keith is Charles' dumb assistant.
