Gareth Herincx

Gareth Herincx (b. May 1966) is the New Media Editor at GMTV.
He assumed the role in January 2007, following six years as the Editor of GMTV's website, [[1]].
Gareth joined GMTV in April 2000 from BBC News Online where he was the Entertainment Editor. Before then he was Features Editor at Ceefax, the BBC's teletext service.
He has previously held a variety of jobs since leaving Harlow Journalism College in 1985 - the same year as Piers Morgan.
His previous jobs include:
- Senior Reporter at the South Oxfordshire Guardian
- Assistant Editor of Scoop - a national children's newspaper
- Launch Editor of Zero - a games magazine from Dennis Publishing
- Teen Editor of Oracle Teletext where he also created the cult dailies, Debbie's Diary and Josh's Diary
- Researcher for Games World - a video games show for Sky where he worked with David Walliams in his TV debut
- Freelance shifts at BBC Newsround, Press Association and Teletext
Gareth is married to wife Celia, has two sons (James and Jack) and lives in Bath.
