Gareth Cross (born June 20, 1984) is an English cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler and wicketkeeper who currently plays for Lancashire. He was born in Bury.

Cross made his debut appearance for the Second XI a week and a half before his 18th birthday, in a game against Durham. He continued to play List A cricket for three years prior to his debut first-class appearance, which came during a countrywide Oxford University tour. Four months later, Cross made his County Championship debut, playing one game in Lancashire's 2005 promotion season. The following year, Lancashire impressed as they finished second in the table, with just one loss throughout the entire season, while Cross notched two half-centuries.

As of 2007, Cross is still an up and coming player within the Second XI, with the ability to break through to the first team. He made his season debut against Durham University, scoring a half-century.
