Gare de Cornavin

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

La Gare de Cornavin (the station of Cornavin) is Geneva's main train station, located in the center of the city. The immediate area surrounding it is known as Cornavin; both names can be used interchangeably to refer to each other. The station has over 100 train arrivals and departures every day, not including non-stop trains and at least 6 tracks, 4 ticket counters and 6 ticket automats and a customs office for trains to France. There is only 8 platforms which makes it relatively small for the main train station. (Compared to Zurich's 21 platforms) There is also a direct link to Geneva Cointrin International Airport.
