Garden of Peace

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Garden of Peace, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is a memorial for homicide victims. The memorial includes a dry streambed of smooth river stones engraved with the names of victims. A large, circular granite stone also makes up the streambed, representing the heaviness and sadness of grief. The garden's pathway ends with a sculpture called "Ibis Ascending," that symbolizes hope for a peaceful future. The Garden of Peace serves to honor those affected by violence and to express the need for peace.[1].
